Beginning Excel 2016

Did you know that Excel know-how can increase your job prospects as well as your starting salary? Excel is a transferrable skill that any hiring manager understands is critical. That’s the beauty of knowing such a universal computer program: It gives you options. By using Excel, you’ll save a lot of time at your job and/or in your personal life, and it’s guaranteed to be more accurate than something you could’ve done by hand. What’s not to love?

Topics covered: Create and save a workbook. Enter cell data. Create formulas and insert functions. Insert, delete and adjust cells, columns, and rows. Apply text and number formats. Align cell contents. Apply styles, themes, and basic conditional formatting. Preview and print a workbook. Set up the page layout. Create headers and footers.

Date: March 19, 21, 26, 28, 2024

Schedule: Tuesdays/Thursdays, 6:00pm-8:00pm

Intermediate Excel 2016

Topics covered: Work with specialized, logical, date, time, and text functions. Work with ranges. Sort and filter data. Query data with database functions. Outline and subtotal data. Create and modify tables. Apply intermediate and advanced conditional formatting. Create, modify, and format charts. Use advanced chart features. Create a PivotTable. Filter data using timelines and slicers.
