This course is an invitation to begin mindfulness meditation or deepen current meditation practice through guided group sessions. Our focus is stillness and presence. We will try out a series of techniques with practical steps to support home meditation. Students will explore foundational practices to nurture self-compassion, loving presence, awareness of feeling tone, and emotional attunement through the breath and body. Seated meditation and standing and/or walking meditation guidance are offered. Teacher Q & A and journaling practice will accompany the in-class sessions. A little humor sprinkled in helps, too!
