Aqua Aerobics Deep Water Conditioning - Session #2
This class is a cross training and rehabilitation method using low impact resistance training which can produce aerobic results, improve full range of motion, increase strength, all without impacting joints. Participants wear a buoyancy belt also called an Aqua Jogger belt and move in various running motions suspended in deep water.
Note: The Aqua Jogger belt helps to keep the participant suspended and upright in the water, but it does not have the support of a life jacket; and therefore, this activity is not advised for the unskilled swimmer.
IMPORTANT: Each participant will need to bring their own aqua jogger belt appropriate for their individual level of buoyancy. They can be found online. Prices will vary, $35 and up depending on source.

SHOTOKAN KARATE
Session #3
Shotokan Karate is the authentic traditional karate for the mind, body and spirit!! Don’t miss Shotokan Karate for teens and adults. Get stronger physically and mentally!! This class focuses on basics including stances, blocks, punches, kicks, and Kata which is pre-arranged fighting forms. This class is a combined class of beginning and intermediate levels. The class may be split into two concurrent groups as needed, based on skill levels.
Your instructor is Brad Marsh, a 4th Degree Black Belt of Shotokan Karate of America. This class is for men, women, and youths ages 10 and up. This is a 4-week session.
Dates: Mondays/Thursdays, June 1 - June 29 ( No class on June 15 & 19)

Get Fit! for Summer - Hybrid Series: In-Person & Videos
with Rhonda Nelson

Join Rhonda Nelson for a five-week immersive summer hybrid fitness series!
Rhonda will provide you with a variety of fitness videos each week, and as a Bonus, Rhonda will teach a 5:30 pm Wednesday evening in-person class on campus for the five weeks. Videos range in length from 20 minute On Your Feet workouts, 30 minute Fresh Start videos, hour long Get Fit! sessions, to 30 minute Gentle Yoga sessions. You will have access to the videos for the entire five weeks, so you can do them at your convenience. Rhonda teaches all ability levels and provides encouragement and suggestions for modifications so that everyone finds refreshment, health and fitness each week.
Links to 20 of Rhonda's private YouTube videos will be sent out on June 14th and remain available through July 12th.
BONUS!! Included with the links above, the Wednesday 5:30 evening in-person class will be a combination of cardio, strength-training, weight lifting, Pilates, and yoga stretches in Rhonda's popular Get Fit! format. Bring your yoga mat and your friends for an hour of fun and fitness!

Aqua Aerobics - Session #3
Water aerobics is a fun way for adults to stay active and fit. It’s also easier on your joints than doing a traditional gym workout and can even help relieve nagging aches and pains. Doing water aerobics has multiple health benefits. Exercising in water can strengthen your muscles and joints without putting stress on them. You’ll get your heart rate up but the water will keep you cool and comfortable while you work out. This engaging class is done through water exercises with jumping, leaping, running, and fun exercises with water noodles. Come and have lots of fun exercising and socializing in the heated Shasta College pool. This class is for participants at any skill level.
A water noodle will be provided however, if you prefer to bring your own please feel free to do so.
Date: July 6 – September 14, 2023 (no class the first 2 weeks of August due to pool maintenance).
