This course emphasizes the characteristics of wines from the major varietals. It covers the identification of wines from the wine districts of California, France, Germany, and Italy. The concept of food and wine pairing will also be evaluated. This course may be offered in a distance education format.
Date: January 19 - March 9, 2023
Schedule: Thursdays, 5:30pm-8:20pm
Location: Building 2100 Room 2150 + 12-hours of asynchronous online work.
Instructor: Jacquelyn Horton
Fee: $55, Though there is no cost for the class, there is a $55 fee that covers the wine making materials costs. This fee will be paid at the time of registration through the Shasta College non-credit registration system.
IMPORTANT: Students must be 21 years of age or older to take this course.
