LICENSED TIMBER OPERATOR TRAINING
IMPORTANT: COVID guidelines will be strictly observed on campus and in the classroom. Attendees must social distance a minimum of 6 ft. to one another, accommodations for this will be made in the classroom. Attendees must wear a mask at all times. Anyone not adhering to these protocols will not be permitted to stay for the class. Please note, Shasta College is a smoke-free campus.There are no refunds granted, no exceptions.

The objective of the Timber Operator License Training Workshop is to familiarize loggers and their crews with the Forest Practice Rules that govern timber harvesting in California.
Discussions will focus on the purpose of the rules and ways to comply with them. A series of video presentations and workbook questions will increase participant knowledge of the regulations and good logging practices.
Facilitators use the Timber Harvest Plan as a framework throughout the workshop to discuss how each timber harvest topic might be addressed in a typical Timber Harvest Plan.
The registration fee of $40 must be paid in advance by credit card. Workshop enrollment is limited to 10 students.
