Rumba & Cha-Cha

Learn the basic and most popular of the hot Latin dances: the Rumba & Cha-Cha!  At the end of this class you’ll be comfortable & confident dancing to any fast or slow music that has a Latin beat.  The Rumba and Cha-Cha are danced to a variety of different musical tastes.  This includes a large variety of Pop; Swing; Country; and Latin music.  You’ll conquer the dance floor with your new dance skills!  This class will cover the critical dance skills of body-movement; lead and follow; frame; connection; turns; dance-etiquette; and foot-placement in these 2 Latin dances.  Furthermore, class-members will learn a specific amalgamation of moves that they can use in any Rumba or Cha-Cha dance that they attempt.

NOTE: you are not required to sign up with a partner. If you do not have a partner one may be assigned to you for those dances that need a partner. 

IMPORTANT: if you do have a partner they too must register for the class. The fee of $69 is a 'per person' rate, not a couples rate.

Date: May 6 - June 17, 2024 (no class May 27 due to Memorial Day holiday) 

Schedule: 6-Mondays, 6:00-7:30pm
