Aqua Aerobics Deep Water Conditioning
This class is a cross training and rehabilitation method using low impact resistance training which can produce aerobic results, improve full range of motion, increase strength, all without impacting joints. Participants wear a buoyancy belt also called an Aqua Jogger belt and move in various running motions suspended in deep water.
Note: The Aqua Jogger belt helps to keep the participant suspended and upright in the water, but it does not have the support of a life jacket; and therefore, this activity is not advised for the unskilled swimmer.
IMPORTANT: Each participant will need to bring their own aqua jogger belt appropriate for their individual level of buoyancy. They can be found online. Prices will vary, $35 and up depending on source.
