Write a Riveting Mystery, Suspense, or Crime Story

Become a mystery writer for fun or profit! You will discover the different sub-genres and three-act story structure of mystery writing and create an intriguing cast of characters. Learn how to research and pick your setting, make sure your opening grabs readers’ attention, use “red herrings” to misdirect your readers and create suspense until you’re ready for the final reveal. Publishing options will also be discussed. Informative handouts for future use are included in class fee. The instructor LeeAnne Krusemark is a former journalist, current author and editor, and a nationwide Professor of Publishing at higher learning institutions, including Harvard Adult Education. The webinar login information will be emailed the day before class.

Sizzle's - Everyday Cooking

"Everyday Cooking" is a practical class series that teaches real meals using simple techniques. Each class is inspired by different flavors and recipes were created with accessible ingredients. Each class includes a soup, sauce, condiments, two or more proteins, starches, and vegetable sides. Vegetarian main course options in every class.

American Mix Class - Comfort food classics made easy. Learn to make tomato soup, a go-to spaghetti sauce, and homemade-style mustard and ketchup. Protein dishes include cast iron flank steak, BBQ baked chicken thighs, and tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. Sides: home fries, mac & cheese, roasted veggies, and broccoli slaw.

Latin America Inspired Class - Bold, bright flavorful dishes from scratch. We will make chicken tortilla soup, enchilada sauce, chimichurri, and fresh salsa. Mains include chimichurri flank steak, chicken enchiladas, and black bean enchiladas. Sides: crispy papitas, Mexican rice, and lime cabbage slaw.

Asian Inspired Class - Fast, fresh, and flavorful dishes. We will prepare ginger carrot soup, teriyaki sauce, quick pickles, and toasted sesame seed toppings. Proteins include teriyaki flank steak, teriyaki chicken, and garlicky edamame. Served with steamed rice, garlic sesame spaghetti, and carrot sesame slaw.

Mediterranean Inspired Class - One of the healthiest diets! Learn to make lentil soup, classic tomato sauce, and chermoula, a zesty North African herb condiment. Proteins include chermoula flank steak, baked lemon chicken, and a Mediterranean edamame salad. Sides: smashed potatoes, penne with tomato sauce, tomato cucumber salad, and sautéed spinach.

Dance - West Coast Swing, Level 2

West Coast Swing - Level 2

Named the official dance of the State of California by the California Legislature. One of the most popular & universal dances in the world. Danced to a variety of different musical tastes: blues; swing; pop; country & jazz. Fun & easy to learn. By the end of this Level II Class you’ll not only have built upon & refined the skills you acquired in the previous Level I Class, but you’ll have mastered more of the fundamental intricacies of the West-Coast-Swing-Dance. Specifically, we will build on the skills of dance-body-movement; lead & follow; frame; connection; dance-etiquette; & foot-placement that were learned in the Beginning-Basic-Level-I Class—along with a variety of more impressive & difficult dance moves.

NOTE: you are not required to sign up with a partner. If you do not have a partner one may be assigned to you for those dances that need a partner.
