Aqua Aerobics Deep Water Conditioning
with Lisa McKinney
Aqua Aerobics Deep Water Conditioning
This class is a cross training and rehabilitation method using low impact resistance training which can produce aerobic results, improve full range of motion, increase strength, all without impacting joints. Participants wear a buoyancy belt also called an Aqua Jogger belt and move in various running motions suspended in deep water. The Aqua Jogger belt helps to keep the participant suspended and upright in the water, but it does not have the support of a life jacket; and therefore, this activity is not advised for the unskilled swimmer.
IMPORTANT: Each participant will need to bring their own aqua jogger belt appropriate for their individual level of buoyancy. They can be found online. Prices will vary, $35 and up depending on source.
