Treating & Healing Long COVID and Post-Vaccine Illness

The community is seeing a significant surge in what is known as post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), or more commonly as Long COVID and these conditions affect all ages. Long-term effects include ongoing fatigue, shortness of breath, difficulty concentrating, sleep disorders, fevers, anxiety and depression, chronic headaches, chest pain, heart palpations, blood clots and vascular complications, kidney impairment, chronic loss of taste or smell. Why is this happening? What can be done to treat this lingering illness and heal? Find hope as you join Dr. June for answers to these and many more of your questions.

The Art of Floral Design - Holiday Home Decor with Fresh Flowers

Set a festive mood with fresh flower arrangements and holiday greenery that you create yourself. You will create a lovely autumn centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table. For the Christmas season you will create a fresh balsam wreath, a garland or swag, and a beautiful Christmas centerpiece with candles and fresh flowers. All materials are provided but you may want to personalize yours with your own trim and ornaments. Bring your own tools to class each week. The following are recommended: pruning shears, scissors, wire cutters, and gloves to handle the holiday greenery. 

IMPORTANT: registration deadline; register no later than November 9. 

Date: November 16 - December 14, 2022 (no class held Thanksgiving week)

Day Trip - Historic Nevada City Victorian Christmas

Historic Nevada City Victorian Christmas 

The aroma of roasted chestnuts fill the air, along with street vendors and lamp-lit streets filled with Christmas treasures. It’s the one & only Victorian Christmas. It’s a magical setting of hilly streets with authentic gas lamps, wandering carolers dressed in Victorian attire, and visitors sharing holiday cheer and good tidings. There are holiday activities for all ages including live entertainment, yuletide treats and libations, and Father Christmas!

Double your fun and bring family and friends along with you to enjoy all the festivities this event has to offer.

  • Depart at 10:00am from the Shasta College Redding Main Campus, 11555 Old Oregon Trail, North Parking Lot; and return at 9:00pm, North Parking Lot.
  • Motor coach will be stopping in Red Bluff at 10:30am to pick up Red Bluff passengers.
  • We will be making a brief dinner stop in Dunnigan on the way back.
